Insurance contract may be made electronically

In case of forming an insurance contract either directly or through insurance agents if parties can not come together, contacts can be made by using all available communications tools.



 


Undersecretariat of Treasury’s Regulations on Insurance Operations, Insurance contracts made ​​in favor of consumers and Distance Insurance Contracts are taken effect.

According to the Regulation that published in Official Gazette, insurance contract can be made either directly or through insurance agents without stipulation  of parties. Parties can form contracts by using all available communication tools. In case of forming the contracts electronically, company’s signature obligation will be fulfill by electronic signature. Moreover reinsurance contracts can be made electronically as well. In addition, it is stated in the Regulation  policy-making obligation will continue.
