The number of unemployed fell by 273,000 to 2.50 million people in the period compared to the same period last year.
Urban unemployment fell by 1.7 points to 11.5 percent, whereas rural unemployment fell by 0.8 points to 4.7 percent.
The number of employed people increased by 1.47 million people to 24.95 million people during the period between June and August compared to the same period last year. Non-agricultural unemployment fell from 13.6 to 11.8 percent whereas labor market participation rate increased from 50 to 51.2 percent in this period compared to the same period last year, according to TÜİK figures. |
