According to a written statement released by the ministry, the 115-square-meter Turkey ad, created as part of the country’s 2011 advertisement campaign, has been placed in one of Rome’s most crowded squares. It can be seen even from 400 meters away.
The statement said the square was important since it is on the way to other tourist places in the city, and that the visual of the Maiden’s Tower in front of an Istanbul silhouette with the slogan “A Never-ending Tale” was drawing much attention.
The billboard will remain in the square, which is a place of attraction for tourists, young people, businessmen and politicians and home many cafes, until the end of the month.
