Caglayan said that he had a meeting with executives from 16 Korean companies operating in the sectors of automotive, energy, construction, finance, mining, ship-building and retail during his visit to Seoul.
"Total annual sales of those companies are $252.7 billion. Hyundati Motors, Samsung Electronics and Posco were among those companies," he said.
"I met CEO of the Hyundai Motors and invited him to open a factory in Turkey. He informed me that they had been carrying out feasibility works for the factory," he said.
Caglayan said that an automobile to be manufactured in Turkey would have a great demand both in Turkey and in the third countries.
"Turkey is determined to produce its own automobile. We call on leading car-makers to work with us," he said.
The minister added that some of Korean firms were interested in investments in Turkish energy sector while the others wanted to join infrastructure projects. |
