Turkish economy minister separately meets Iraqi, Algerian ministers

Turkey´s Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan on Tuesday met separately with Iraqi Minister of Trade Kheer Allah Babakir and Algerian Minister of Trade Commerce Mustapha Benbada in Istanbul.



 


Speaking to reporters before his meeting with Babakir, Caglayan said Turkey was eager to boost cooperation with Iraq in trade.

"Until now we have always looked at Iraq's north or at Baghdad. But from now on we will turn our eyes to the south especially at Basra and Najaf," Caglayan said.

Following the meeting with Babakir, Caglayan got together with Algerian Minister Benbada.
