Turkish economy minister says Turkey´s trade with Syria & Israel continues increasingly
  14.10.2011

Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan has said that Turkey´s trade with Syria and Israel continued increasingly.

Commenting on Syria's decision to ban import of products which had over five percent customs duty, Caglayan said Tuesday that Syria lifted the ban, and thus, Turkey's exports to Syria maintained the same level with last year.

We have a serious amount of product shipping to Arabian peninsula via Syria, he noted. Caglayan said that despite all the problems, Turkey's trade with Israel continued too.

Caglayan also said that Turkish companies recently undertook a business worth of 238 million USD in Turkmenistan, adding that total amount of construction business Turkish companies undertook in Turkmenistan in 2011 reached 3.2 billion USD.
