Turkey´s tractor manufacturing record high in 2011

Turkey´s tractor manufacturing increased 56.2 percent to 62,750 in 2011, which was a record high production rate in this sector.



 


Tractor manufacturing was 40,178 in 2010, according to figures of Association of Agricultural Equipment & Machinery Producers.

The manufacturing figure had been the highest in 1998 with 61,868. It dropped to 10,840 in 2002 due to global economic crisis.

Turkey manufactured 29,761 tractors in 2003, 42,511 in 2004, 41,502 in 2005, 44,386 in 2006, 37,623 in 2007, 28,751 in 2008 and 17,762 tractors in 2009.

Tractor exports also rose from 9,790 to 10,413 in 2011. Turkey's income from tractor exports rose 11.4 percent from 191.1 million USD to 212.8 million USD.
