Turkey, having gone through the economic crisis without any loss despite regional instabilities and also economic instabilities in Europe and in the Mediterranean, caught the positive growth rate in the number of foreign tourists at the first half of 2013.
According to the report of Turkish Hoteliers Federation (THF) about the tourism indicators of Turkey for the first half of 2013, Turkey's growth rate in the number of foreign tourists became more than Spain, Egypt and Greece.
Turkey was the unique country which increased the number of foreign tourists in the region more than 15% in 2013 compared to the last year, said the report.
On the other hand, the growth rate in the number of foreign tourists in Egypt became 13% in 2013 till the military coup. The rate in Spain was 4.5% which was the leader in the region for tourism sector.
The growth rate in the number of foreign tourists in Greece became 9% in 2013 compared to 2012, which deeply had an economic crisis for 2 years.
