Turkey´s Monetary Policy Committee to convene on rising concerns in Europe

Monetary Policy Committee of Turkish Central Bank will have an extraordinary meeting on rising economic concerns in Europe, the bank said on Wednesday.



 


The committee will have a meeting on Thursday to discuss rising concerns over public debt problem in some European countries and the outlook on global growth, the bank said in a statement.

Monetary Policy Committee convenes on a monthly basis. The committee had its last meeting on July 21 and kept key interest rate unchanged at record low 6.25 percent.

The committee will make public its decisions after the meeting, the statement added.
