Turkey to Continue Cooperation With the African Continent
  01.02.2013

Economy Minister Zafer Çağlayan said Turkey will continue to extend aid to African countries in need of health, education and other social sevices.

Zafer Çağlayan attended the Turkish-Ghanian Trade and Investment Forum organized in İstanbul by the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists.

Çağlayan said Turkey views African countries through a perspective different than that of Europeans, adding "We know that when Europeans think of Africa they think of the continent's underground richness. They have their eyes only on energy sources or rich mines, while we see only African people, whom we approach with a principle of loving the created for the sake of the creator."

Zafer Çağlayan said the Turkish business circles are ready to invest in Africa, underlying that Turkish schools establish an important bridge between the peoples of Africa and Turkey.

Ghanian President John Dramani Mahama said they place special importance on increasing joint investments with Turkey.
