Turkey to attend 153 tourism fairs in 2011

According to Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry´s web-site, the ministry will promote Turkey´s touristic and cultural values at numerous international fairs it will attend in an effort to increase Turkey´s share in the world tourism market.



 


Turkey will participate in a total of 153 tourism fairs to be held in 66 countries in 2011.

According to Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry's web-site, the ministry will promote Turkey's touristic and cultural values at numerous international fairs it will attend in an effort to increase Turkey's share in the world tourism market.

The ministry will carry out promotion activities at major fairs held particularly in countries that send the highest number of tourists to Turkey, officials said.

Culture & Tourism Ministry will set up pavilions at the "ITB Berlin" tourism fair and "MITT Moscow Fair" to be held in March 2011, as well as the "World Travel Market (WTM) London Fair" to be organized in November 2011 within this framework, sources said.

The ministry also noted that representatives of leading Turkish tourism agencies, hotels and airline companies would promote their activities at the Turkish pavilions.

Utrecht Tourism Fair to be held in the Netherlands, Madrid Fitur Tourism Fair to be held in Spain, BIT Milano to be hosted by Italy and Dubai Fair to be organized in the United Arab Emirates are some of the other tourism events to be attended by Turkey in 2011, officials added.
