Turkey Ranks 1st On List Of Oecd Growth Rate

Turkey has become the biggest growing economy among the OECD countries in the last 10 years with the exception of 2008 and 2009 when the global crisis was acutely felt.



 


According to OECD data, global economy between 2003 and 2012 is estimated to have grown by by 3,5% on the basis of 2012 indicators while the OECD countries by 1,7%. Turkey's economy, meanwhile, will have grown on average by 5,1% by the end of the year.

When OECD countries' individual growth rate is considered , Turkey ranks first on the list.

Turkey , on the list of biggest growing countries in the past ten years, is followed by Chile with 4,8% and Slovakia and Poland.
