Turkey foreign trade indices down in exports, up in imports

The overall export unit value index in February 2012 in Turkey decreased over the same period a year earlier by 0.9 percent while the import unit value index was up 2 percent (2003=100), the country´s statistics authority, TurkStat, said Tuesday.



 


In February 2012, the overall export volume index was up 18.1 percent and import volume index decreased 0.8 percent compared to the corresponding month a year earlier.

Calendar adjusted export volume index was down by 4.8 percent and import volume index was up by 0.2 percent over the same period of a year earlier, TurkStat said.
