Turkey earns 42.03 billion USD from privatizations in 26 years

As privatizations became an important issue in the Turkish economy in recent years, Turkey has earned 42.03 billion USD from privatizations in the past 26 years.



 


According to figures of the Turkish Privatization Administration, Turkey earned 3.08 billion USD from privatizations in 2010.

The Administration's figures indicated that Turkey has earned 276.6 million USD from privatizations in 2011 up until May 20.

Almost half of all privatizations took place by block sale.

There are currently 25 institutions in Turkey waiting to be privatized soon.
