Nihat Ergun said that Turkey expected this figure to rise to 12.5 billion USD by the end of 2011.
"Foreign capital investments will not be below this amount in 2012, and we believe Turkey will draw more than 10 billion USD of direct foreign capital investments in 2012," Ergun said during a signature ceremony in Istanbul.
Turkey's Aska Akrilik Kimya Sanayii Corporation signed a new agreement with U.S. Dow Chemical Company to invest in petrochemical industry.
During the ceremony, Ergun said Turkey would revise its incentive system in line with its own priorities and developments in the world.
Ergun said the new incentive model would give priority to employment, giant projects, sectors and regions and focus on reducing current account balance. |
