Trump Towers Mall opens next month
  24.02.2012

Donald Trump and Ivanka Trump will participate in the inauguration of the Istanbul Trump Towers Mall when it is officially opened April 20.

The majority of the stores at the massive mall complex in Şişli’s Mecidiyeköy area will open to the public March 15, but the official opening ceremony will take place April 20.

“Our goal is not only to draw shoppers from the Mecideköy-Şişli area, but also to attract people from Kartal and Bağdat Avenue and from Yeşilköy and Yeşilyurt,” said Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ, a Doğan Holding Board member.

Doğan Holding is the parent company to D Yapı, the company that partnered with Donald Trump to bring the project to life.

The Trump Towers Mall will feature 190 different stores, with brands like Promod, Crocs, Gymboree and Pure Jatomi Fitness Center entering the Turkish market for the first time with the shopping center. In addition, local brands like Sarar, Paşabahçe, Network, Desa, Divarese and Saat&Saat will also rent mall space.

The mall will also dedicate one whole floor, 8,000 square meters, to children. The “children’s floor,” will have shops and restaurants tailored to children and will also include a Disney Theater and a Fox entertainment center. “In order to set ourselves apart from other malls, we wanted to focus on children and their families,” said Yalçındağ.

The mall will also have an extensive food court with chains like Burger King, Günaydın and Ramiz Köfte, but will also offer more high-end flavors like Turkey’s famous Borsa restaurant and Fratelli La Buffalo.
