“Turkish Airlines [THY] has been ferrying into New York with increasing frequency, so it’s no surprise the republic’s flagship airline has decided to land in the city’s most prominent tower,” the weekly said. THY’s neighbors in the Empire State Building include other major aviation companies such as Air China and Germany’s Lufthansa. THY’s new office will be on the 75th floor and will have an area of 545 square meters. The Turkish aviation company will move to the building this month from its current location in Westbury, New York.
Kaya Boztepe, president of the Federation of Turkish-American Associations (TADF), in a statement to the Anatolia news agency, indicated that this makes the half million Turks living in the United States proud. |
