The International Insurance Conference in Turkey is taking place amid a spectacular growth of the profile market
  06.05.2011

The first half of 2010 represented a major underwritings increase of 25% for the Turkish insurance market, the total figure rising to EUR 3.71 billion (in the first half of 2009, the same indicator rose to EUR 2.98 billion).

Also worthy mentioning is the positive dynamic of all insurance classes.
It is on this context that sets the stage for the second edition of the International Insurance Conference of Istanbul, organized by the Insurance Association of Turkey.

PRIMM - Insurance & Pensions Magazine is Media Partner of the event and is represented by Adriana PANCIU, CEO, Alexandru D. CIUNCAN, Business Development Director, Vlad PANCIU, XPRIMM TV Coordinator, and Georgiana OPREA, Accounts Manager.

The conference is supported by the most important figures in the profile segment in Turkey, such as MILLI Re, one of the local reinsurance market leaders.

85% of Turkey's consolidated insurance market portfolio is based on the general insurance segment, the rest of 15% being taken by life insurance.

Out of the general insurance classes, 22% of the underwritings go to property (EUR 810 million) and 39% to motor insurance (Motor Hull and MTPL, added up) (EUR 1.44 billion). Another important insurance class of the Turkish insurance market portfolio is health insurance, which generates over 13% of the total profile market, EUR 488 million.
