In the first seven months of 2014, 6 million 735 thousand tourists have visited one of the most popular Turkish tourism hub Antalya.
Of those 6.7 million foreign travelers rushed into the city, 2.1 million were from Russia, making 33.1 percent of the total.
The number of Russian tourists visiting Antalya was 1.8 million in the first seven months of 2013.
The southern Turkish holiday hub saw a 3.63 percent rise in the number of visitors this year when compared to last year, reaching 6.735 million in the period of January-July, Antalya Culture and Tourism Provincial Directorate data showed.
Russians are followed by Germans, the once top lovers of Antalya, but the number of German visitors coming to the city dropped slightly from 1.424 million to 1.417 million this year.
