Number of companies opened in Turkey down in March

The number of companies, which were opened in Turkey in March 2012, dropped 30.83 percent when compared to March 2011.



 


The number of individual commercial enterprises opened in the same month increased 7.21 percent, while the number of closed companies dropped 17.43 when compared to March 2011, according to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

A total of 3,558 companies were opened in March 2012. It was 5,144 in March 2011. A total of 758 companies were closed in March 2012, which was 997 in March 2011.

The number of opened companies decreased 6.59 percent, the number of individual commercial enterprises increased 8.22 percent, while the number of closed companies dropped 23.97 percent in March when compared to February, 2012.
