New budget forecasts expenditures around 350.9 bln TL

The draft budget of 2012 forecasts budget expenditures around 350.9 billion Turkish liras-TL (187.9 billion USD).



 


Turkey's Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Tuesday that the draft budget projected non-interest revenues around 300.6 billion TL (161 billion USD) in 2012.

"Budget revenues are forecast as 329.8 billion TL (176.6 billion USD), tax revenues around 277.7 billion TL (148.7 billion USD), budget deficit around 21.1 billion TL (11.3 billion USD) and primary surplus around 29.2 billion TL (15.6 billion USD)," Simsek told a press conference in Ankara.

Simsek said thus, budget revenues would be up by 12 percent year-on-year in 2012 and the rise in budget revenues would be 13.4 percent.

"The budget of 2012 which supports employment and growth has been focused on increasing savings, economic and social development, diminishing current account deficit, rehabilitating public finance balance and allocating resources to further investments," Simsek also said.
