Mersin Marina inaugurated

Mersin Marina, the largest marina in Turkey on East Mediterranean shores, was inaugurated by Turkish Transportation, Maritime & Communications Minister Binali Yildirim, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan and other officials at a ceremony in southern province of Mersin on Saturday.



 


Yildirim said at the ceremony that Mersin would be a door of Turkey opening to Caucasus, Middle East and Africa.

The marina cost nearly 100 million Turkish lira, he said.

With a capacity of 500 boats afloat and 500 boats ashore, Mersin Marina is the largest marina of Turkey on the Eastern Mediterranean shores. Designed as a city port, Mersin Marina will bring a “new quality of life" to Mersin.

In additional to several social facilities, Mersin Marina offers electricity, fresh water, sewage removal, wireless internet, cable tv, weather forecast, laundry, shower/WC, first aid, professional diver, parking, fuel station, tourism agency, car rental, supermarket, bank/ATM, change/exchange office, repair facilities, storage lockers, and a yacht market.
