Istanbul Development Agency offers 70 million liras in grants

The Istanbul Development Agency has made an open call for five project offers that are to be granted a total of 70 million Turkish Liras, according to a press release posted on the agency´s website.



 


Istanbul Development Agency Chairman and Istanbul Gov. Hüseyin Avni Mutlu said in the written notice that the agency finished all its studies for the 2010-2013 Istanbul Regional Plan and within the framework of its 2010 financial support programs it would offer grants to projects to be actualized in Istanbul.

"The program is composed of subcategories like providing 20 million liras for data-focused financial support to businesses, 20 million liras for data-focused financial support to nonprofit organizations, 15 million liras for financial support for small-scale social integration projects with an aim to assist them with infrastructure, 7,500 liras in financial support for businesses that aim to assist in developing innovative industries and 7,500 liras in financial support for nonprofits that aim to assist them in developing innovative industries,” the governor said in the written notice.

He said local public offices, local administrations, local universities and nongovernmental organizations and profit-oriented business could alike benefit from the grants.

The agency plans to launch a series of informational meetings for further publicity of the project and the participants will not be asked admission fee.
