According to Turkey's Economy Ministry figures, 28,184 international companies are operating in Turkey and they prefer wholesale and retail markets, manufacturing industry, real estate rental business.
8,599 international companies operate in wholesale and retail markets, 4,642 in manufacturing industry, 4,521 in real estate rental business, 2,673 in construction, 2,536 in transportation, communication and storing services.
14,440 of 28,814 international companies in Turkey are from European Union (EU) countries.
Germany ranks the first with 2,643 companies, then comes Britain with 2,330 companies. The Netherlands have 1,970 companies in Turkey and thus ranks the third in international companies in Turkey.
