Homend, a Turkish producer of small house appliances founded in 2010, posted 8 million Turkish Liras in sales revenues last year and aims to increase the figure to 25 million liras for 2011, the firm’s general manager said Friday.

The company produces 51 various products and currently operates with 525 points of sale. “We aim to increase the number of our products to 71,” Hakan Koçer said at a press meeting in Istanbul. The firm now controls 1 percent of the domestic market share, according to August sales figures, Koçer said, adding that the share of the market leader in small home appliances was 15 percent.

Homend produces 75 percent of its goods in Turkey and the remainder in China, Koçer said, adding that they were planning to enter the cooling-heating appliances market in the near future.
