Health tourism targets 16 percent growth
  18.02.2011

Turkey’s medical tourism sector is aiming to expand its share in the global market by 16 percent over the next two years, according to a press release by Expo Thermal 2011.

Health tourism developing in parallel with Turkey’s health sector is looking for ways to increase its almost $2 billion share, or 5 percent, in the $50 billion-worth global market. To that end, the leading firms in the sector are readying to gather with their peers from Europe, the Caucasus, Balkans, Russia and the Middle East at a series of expos to be held simultaneously in Istanbul’s TÜYAP expo center from March 31 to April 3, titled Expomed 2011, Labtek 2011, Expo Thermal 2011, Hospitals and Health Centers and ICSM Expo 2011 (Industrial Cleaning Fair).

The expos will display new products, services and technologies in the health sector with participation of sector actors from various businesses like spas, beauty and rehabilitation centers, organic food and goods providers and dermo-cosmetics products.
