Global Insurer Axa plans to double its investments in Turkey

Axa Group, a global insurance company, plans to double its investments in Turkey, according to the chairman and chief executive of the group. “Turkey is a promising market,” Henri de Castries said, addressing a meeting in Istanbul where 350 Axa chief executive officers had convened.



 


Axa is aiming to especially grow in the areas of household insurance, accident insurance, and life insurance, the chairman told Anatolia news agency on the sidelines of the event. “Turkey is one of the most important economies in Asia, Central and East Europe and the Mediterranean region. Turkish economy is on a strong growth track. We have been operating in Turkey for 10 year and confidently believe in Turkey’s future. Axa Turkey is a successful and fast growing company..” he said, adding that they intended to double the scale of their business in the country.
