  01.06.2013

16 graduates from the Kepez Primary and Secondary School for the Hearing-impaired in Antalya have given a concert using the sign language.

Led by the guidance of their teachers, the 16 students , all with hearing impairements, performed folk dances and later sang five songs using the sign language with their mathematics teacher Mustafa Sulubulut conducting them.

The Math teacher , in a statement he made to newsmen after the concert, said he had been teaching at the Kepez School for the Hearing-impaired for two and a half years and he had learned the sign language from his students.

He said he was sorry to be parting with the students but happy at the same time because they were going to be high school students .

Math teacher Sulubulut also said it was the first time they had done something like that in the school, noting the students had done an incredible thing by singing through the use of sing language and he was very proud of them just like the other teachers in the school.
