Carpet export target set at five billion dollars

With all the interest received by Turkish carpet exporters who have taken on a record 18,000 square meters display at the Domotex Carpet Fair, a revision has been made on the 2023 target of 3.5 billion dollars in exports, bringing the figure up to five billion dollars.



 


Istanbul Carpets Exporters Union (İHİB) İbrahim Yılmaz, "Our increase in exports has not been lower than 25 percent over the past three years. We had foreseen a seven to eight percent increase annually. However, with these results, we have decided to revise our previously cautious target for 2023."

With 151 Turkish firms representing at the Domotex Carpet Fair, out of the 60 countries that participated Turkey has broken a record by having the largest display area with 18,000 square meters devoted solely to Turkish carpet exporting firms.
