Vehicle owners in Turkey were compensated $1.55 billion from automobile insurance companies in the last year.
According to the figures by Insurance Association of Turkey (TSB), automobile insurance companies paid $1.55 billion to vehicle owners in 2013 - a decrease of 6.8 percent compared with $1.66 billion in the previous year.
Vehicles that have been paid for damages also decrease by 12 percent reaching 1,830,454 last year, compared with 2012.
During this period policies prepared for automobile insurances rose 3 percent and reached 4,672,453.
