100,479 new motor vehicles get registered in Turkey in April

100,479 new motor vehicles were registered in Turkey in April. Turkey´s statistical authority, TurkStat, announced Thursday figures pertaining to motor vehicles in Turkey for the month of April.



 


Out of the 100,479 new motor vehicles that got registered in April, 51,123 were private cars.

Cars were followed by 19,759 pickup trucks, 6,794 motorcycles and 5,637 tractors.

The number of motor vehicles that got registered in April went up by 0.5 percent when compared to the previous month.

The number of motor vehicles that got registered in April went up by 31.2 percent when compared to the same month last year.

Between January and April 2011, a total of 425,239 new motor vehicles were registered in Turkey. During this term, the registration of 65,817 motor vehicles were cancelled.

14 percent of all private cars that got registered in April were those of Renault company followed by Ford (9.9 percent) and Tofas-Fiat (9.8 percent).
